The University of Connecticut, with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), is leading a major expansion of the Network for Advanced NMR (NAN). This initiative aims to democratize access to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, a vital tool in scientific research and medical diagnostics.

The Ohio State University is one of three new institutions added to the network, contributing significantly with its 1.2 GHz NMR spectrometer—the first of its kind in the United States. This positions OSU as a national leader in high-field NMR research and infrastructure.
